What We Believe

At First Baptist Church, our beliefs are grounded in the authority of Scripture and centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. The following summaries express the core doctrines we believe the Bible clearly teaches and therefore guide our teaching, worship, and life together as a church.

Some of these doctrines concern the core truths of the gospel itself. Others address important biblical convictions that shape the life, practice, and fellowship of our church. While sincere believers may differ on some of these matters, we believe the whole counsel of God’s Word is worthy of careful study and faithful obedience.

For that reason, we seek to hold firmly to the truths revealed in Scripture while extending grace and humility toward fellow believers who may understand certain issues differently.
