Because God alone is Lord of life, we affirm the sanctity of every human life from conception to natural death and reject abortion, euthanasia, and assisted suicide as violations of God’s moral law (Ex 20:13; Ps 139:13–16; Prov 6:16–17; Deut 32:39; Prov 24:11–12). We are called to protect the vulnerable and to show compassionate care to those in weakness and distress (Prov 31:8–9; Jas 1:27; Lk 10:33–37).
