The Equality of All People
We affirm that all people—regardless of ethnicity, nationality, or cultural background—are created in the image of God and therefore possess equal dignity, value, and worth (Gen 1:26–27; Jas 3:9). Scripture declares that God shows no partiality (Dt 10:17–18; Acts 10:34–35; Rom 2:11), and His people are called to reflect His character by rejecting all forms of prejudice, hostility, or ethnic pride (Mic 6:8; Jn 13:34–35; Gal 3:28; Jas 2). As followers of Christ, we affirm the equal worth of all peoples and seek to display God’s impartial love in our relationships, attitudes, and actions.
The Sinfulness of Anti-Semitism
We also reject hostility toward the Jewish people. Israel remains beloved for the sake of God’s covenant promises (Rom 9:1–4; 11:28–29), and Scripture warns Gentile believers against arrogance toward them (Rom 11:17–21). Anti-Semitism in any form is incompatible with the character of God and the teaching of Scripture. As followers of Christ, we are called to reject such hostility and to demonstrate humility, gratitude, and love toward the people through whom God has accomplished so much in His redemptive plan.
